Highlights of what has
been done, and pondering on what is to be done.

- A new Idol of "Mahashesha" has
been made with pure silver, where 4 KGs of silver and 21 Gms of gold has
been used.
- As per the instructions of Shri Kashi
Mathadeesh, for the sanctity of the sacred "Rohini" and
of the "Udhbhava Linga", special provision for
roofing enclosures, and also provision for a new door has been made.
- The wood and the workmanship has received
appreciation from the devotees, where the carpentry is being done at
the Vibhudendra Kala Mantap, a hall belonging to the temple. The work
is expected to be finished well before schedule. About 2000 cft of Teak wood
costing Rs. 60 lakh has been used.
- In the first phase, 60 KGs of silver costing Rs.
24 lakh has been purchased
- Rs. 75 lakhs has been received from the devotees
so far.
- Rs. 2.5 crore is still required , and we
appeal to the devotees for their co-operation.
- 4000 KGs of copper for the roofing, costing about
Rs 20 lakh has been purchased.
- The materials to be used for the renovation
should be ready by 31st Jan 2011.
- Sri Sri Sri Sayameendra Teertha Swamiji
would be arriving from His Holiness's Bhagmandal camp to Manjeshwar on 31st
of Jan 2011 and will proceed to Mangalore on 6th of Feb 2011. During His
Holiness's camp here at Manjeshwar, on 4th of Feb, there will be a "Prarthana"
in the "Nade" at 11 am, with regard to the renovation.
- The renovation work will begin on the 7th of Feb
at 09.30 am.
- As per Shri Guruvarya's instructions,
"Kalasha Prathishte" and "Mahashesha Prathishte"
will be on 27.04.2011 at 11.09 AM, which will be done in a very grand
manner. The details of this function has been published separately.
- The daily schedule during the renovation shall
not affect "Prathista Vardhanthi", which falls on 22.03.2011.
The schedule that is observed during the renovation period shall not be
observed on this day, where, Samaradhane, Poornotsava, Night Utsava,
Vasanth Pooja etc. will be performed at their usual times, and in a
grand manner.
- It is requested to the "Samaj Bhandhavs"
that they participate as "Swayamsevaks" during the
renovation period. About 50 "Swayamsevaks" are required
daily. Persons, individually or collectively, can participate for one or two
days, or as many days as they wish to. Persons interested, may in advance
give their names and addresses to Sri R. Nithinchandra Pai
(09447287107) or to Sri M. Dinesh Shenoy (9343122037). Arrangements for the
food and accommodation for the "Swayamsevaks" will be made.
- For maintaining of the sanctity of the place, it
is requested to the "Swayamsevaks" that they, before
beginning of their work everyday, bath at the "Shesha Thirtha"
and perform "Sandhyavandhan". Non Veg food, and food that
includes garlic and onions should not be consumed during this period. Those
restrained from entering temples on account of "vhale",
i.e. either birth or demise of someone in the family, please not attend
during that period. Daily work should be begun by reciting "Shri
Narasimha Sthuthi" and performing "Pradakshine Namaskar".
This will be supervised by the "Acharya" of the Temple, Vedamurthi
Sri M. Purushottam Acharya.
- The females will be reciting "Shri Vishnu
Sahasranam" and chanting "Bhajans" It is requested
that they do it in large numbers. Those interested to participate shall
contact Smt. Lilly Bai, Prabha Nayak or Shailaja Kamath.
- From 07.02.2011 to 27.04.2011, from 11 am
onwards, only "Swayamsevaks" and others permitted by the
Temple are allowed in the inner rounds of the Temple. Rest are restrained
from entering.
- From the period of removing of the "Kalasha"
till the installing of the "Kalasha", it is requested to
the Samaj Bhandhavs that they consume Vegetarian food only, and they
recite Sthuthi and chant Bhajans in their homes.
- The details of development in the renovation work
shall be regularly published.
- Requesting all Samaj Bhandhavs to Partake
Lord's grace by participating in the Historic work of renovation.
